# Features

- **Compare topics across all of Hacker News history.** Chart up to four terms (OpenAI vs Anthropic vs Rust by default) from 2007 to today. Switch between All, 10y, 5y, 2y and 1y, and read every term's count at once.
- **See what is trending before typing anything.** Keywords that recur across the top stories of the last 7 or 30 days, what is on the front page right now, and the top stories by points. Click a keyword to search it.
- **Keyword pile.** The top 30 trending keywords (14 on phones) as pills sized by story count, in a draggable physics pile. Shake and Drop again controls. With reduced motion or without JS it is a static ranked list of links.
- **Search** any word or phrase, or start from an example: AI agents, Claude Code, Cloudflare, Rust, Open Source.
- **Stories or Comments**, sorted by Relevance or Newest, over the last 7 or last 30 days.
- **Results:** three summary metrics, a keyword-activity chart, an engagement ranking and a dense results table with Load more (20 rows per page, up to 10 pages).
